Edinburgh, out and about...june - july
So here's some random shots from around Edinburgh...Gem was very interested in the tartan shop, so that was one of our first stops followed by her swing in the park :) Basically there's the castle, some monuments around town and the statue of Bobby, the little dog that sat besides his owners grave for some incredible amount of time...I think maybe 10 years? After all that Claire and I decided to do the climb up Arthurs seat (a big hill off to the side of the town). It was such a great view from the top, but it could have been a little nicer on the way there if we had have suck to the designated paths (there was some verticle climbing involved which we were both pretty unsure about), but in the end it was worth it. Also found the crypt of my great, great, great, great (?) grandfather, Lord Graham of Montrose in the church of St Giles. That was pretty spooky!
